Angelic Pretty Misty Sky Skirt (2016? release)
That's right, I am a basic bitch and went ahead and got Misty Sky! I loved the print when it first came out so many years ago but couldn't get it because 1) I was a broke college kid and it wouldn't have fit me 2)It sold out instantly and I didn't grasp the process of shopping for clothes online yet. Thanks Angelic Pretty for releasing this print so many times that I can somewhat easily find it secondhand at a reasonable price. I got this skirt in the consignment section of an event I went to, which was serendepitous because I was looking at getting the skirt online. Anyways, the night sky print is a crowd pleaser that includes me and the chiffon plus the built in petticoat makes me feel fluffy! What did throw me off was that it was shorter than I expected as it hit me solidly above the knees. That's fine but more than anything it does open the ability to wear it in non-lolita outfits.
Vintage Black Gingham Floral Skirt (1950s)
I saw this skirt in a vintage etsy store and loved the black, white, and grey color scheme with bits of brightness in the floral accents. This makes it an excellent addition to both the ginghams and florals of my closet. This skirt seems handmade as there was no label and some of the stitching leaned more on the homemade side particularly in the hemming. This absolutely isn't a knock against it as that seems to enhance the gently used country look.
Victorian Maiden Forest Rose Skirt (2010)
Oh man this was the first lolita fashion specific skirt I ever got when I finally got enough disposable income and space to really get into lolita fashion! I was pretty breathtaken when I saw this skirt chilling out in Wunderwelt, evidently having been there for a while as I had seen it there since I first started browsing that site. Anyways I love the gobelin roses, ruffles, and the deep red color combined with the elegant streamlined lines of this skirt. Unfortunately it has gotten a little more difficult for me to fit into this skirt since my transition as old VM's smaller waistlines don't really jibe well with the T-induced waistline OTL
Milk High Waisted Scalloped Shorts
Honestly I bought this on a whim on Wunderwelt as it was pretty cheap and it wouldn't have impacted the shipping weight since I ordered three coats at the same time. However, the scallops are a pretty cute detail and the decent pockets and shirred back make this pretty comfy! Shorts are a weak point of mine as for the longest time I was never comfortable exposing my legs due to my body image issues and unrealized dysphoria so hopefully I can get started so I don't roast myself during summer.
